Mathilde Melek AN currently lives and works between France and Turkey but she also feeds her artwork on projects she initiated abroad continents. Constantly questioning identity, she investigates social, cultural and historical contexts in different countries where she transits through the bridges she creates.

 

Over the last years, she has been developing an iconographic work around the photographic archive that she transforms into sculptures and translates into immersive installations. She metamorphosis from a two dimension image object into a performance where she’s rethinking the memory, revisiting the History of intertwined legends and mythologies.
